Rep. Elizabeth Scott to hold telephone town hall on March 27
Rep. Elizabeth Scott, R-Monroe, will host a one-hour telephone town hall with constituents on Wednesday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. Residents of the 39th District, which includes Monroe, Gold Bar, Darrington, Sultan, Granite Falls, Concrete, Sedro-Wooley, Skykomish, Index, Marysville, Lyman, Hamilton, Marymount, and Arlington, are invited to call and ask questions of their state representative.
Scott, who was elected to the House of Representatives in November, said she's looking forward to hearing ideas and concerns from her constituents back home.
“There have been a lot of issues discussed in the Legislature this year that can and will have an impact on the lives of every citizen in this state,” said Scott. “We've heard bills on gun control, health care, education, the gas tax and other tax increases – and several of these issues will come to some sort of conclusion in the coming weeks. Hearing from constituents, from those I represent in Olympia, will help in my decision-making process as the session progresses.”
To join the community conservation, people can call toll-free 877-229-8493, then enter pin number111475. The hour-long call will begin at 6:30 p.m. and works much like a radio call-in show where callers can ask questions of the representative live. There will also be an opportunity to answer poll questions.
No RSVP is required to join the call. The 105-day legislative session is scheduled to adjourn April 28.
