We are now ending the 30-day special session and heading into another 30-day session in order to come to agreement on the next two-year state operating budget.
The House Democrats recently released their 2015-17 operating budget proposal. In a nutshell, it raises taxes by $1.5 billion and increases state spending from $33.8 billion (2013-15) to $38.9 billion!
The event, previously scheduled for Thursday, April 2, has been moved up to Monday, March 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
